Harley-Davidson Launches Youth Apprenticeship Program

March 30, 2018  • UpSkill America

UpSkill America is an employer-led movement to expand opportunity for America’s workers and allow our economy and communities to thrive. As part of our mission to advance the upskilling movement, we are pleased to share the following news from one of our industry partners.

Harley-Davidson has launched a new youth mentorship program at its factory in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, in hopes of bringing up the next generation of skilled trades. The program takes 17 juniors and seniors from Bradley Tech High School, a local technical skills high school, and gives them the chance to learn alongside the factory’s 1,000-member staff. Over several months, students will shadow plant employees and learn about the different skilled careers, after which their apprenticeship is scheduled to begin in the fall. Click here to learn more.

We are delighted with Harley-Davison’s decision and commend them for joining the long line of employers who are committed to upskilling in 2018.
